Our Zoo Project
On Thursday, 5th June, class 5d went to the zoo with Ms. Herzig, our English teacher, and Ms. Martin, our biology teacher.
The trip was a lot of fun! We walked around the zoo in small groups. Ms. Herzig gave us questions. We had to answer them for a group competition. Did you know that meerkats have a watchman? It warns the other meerkats against enemies.
The “Kangaroos” and “Crazy Giraffes” won the zoo competition!
In our teams, we also found out information about one animal for our group project. We took many photos too! Don’t they look great on our posters?
There were many cute animals at the zoo: Mika, the baby polar bear, or the baby guinea pigs. We couldn’t believe how giant Asian elephants and hippos can get. We watched seals and penguins swim and play. At the end of our trip, we fed hungry carps with big mouths.
Thanks to Ms. Herzig and Ms. Martin, we had a great trip to the zoo!
On Monday, 30th June, most groups presented their posters in our green classroom in the school garden. Some mini-talks were very creative. Ms Herzig says that we can be very proud of our work!
